» APPEARANCE Ryou's most prominent feature is his hair, which is the same pure shade of white as the large feathery wings on his back. His eyes are a deep brown color, and his skin is pale; he appears to be very weak and fragile.
» PERSONALITY Ryou is, in general, a very sweet and caring angel. However, this side of him is often masked by one of paranoia and low self-esteem - despite his status, he doesn't have much confidence in himself. He dislikes fighting in any form, and tries to avoid confrontation as much as possible, though this doesn't always work.

He seems to be rather shy, but truly, he's afraid to get very close to anybody because he'll just forget them eventually due to the Light's constant drain on his memory. He's rather pessimistic, and though he tries to see the goodness in everyone, he never seems to look on the bright side of certain situations.

As weak-willed as Ryou is, he is capable of standing up for himself; he'll defend himself if he needs to, and he has been known to fight back on occasion, but there is only one being he absolutely cannot stand up to, no matter how hard he tries - and that is God himself.

As the Master of Light, Ryou is the highest of all of the Angel Masters. Unfortunately, his powers of more of a burden than anything else.

His feathers can generate a brilliant light whenever he desires, and he is also able to use them as weapons - he can turn them into piercing arrows of light with a mere flick of the wrist. However, bearing the Light has had a highly detrimental effect on his mind - he has lost all memory of his former life, how he died, and even when the Light chose him to be its holder. The Light continues to drain him of his memories with every minute that goes by, and lately, it has been quite a nuisance.

The Light also projects its own feelings onto Ryou, and ever since God's disappearance, it has been in immense despair. It has been constantly screaming, pleading at Ryou, begging for him to do something about it; as a result, he has been given intense headaches that disrupt his train of thought.

Despite all of the lost memories, there is one thing he does know: if he were given the chance to be rid of the Light and regain his memories, he would take it without a second thought.

Angel of Darkness; Seto » The Master of Darkness, and Ryou's opposite. Bears the memories of everybody in Heaven, and then some.

Fallen Angel; Malik » Former angel, bears the powers of empathy and telekinesis. Has since become a demon, yet Ryou still sees some good in him.

Satan; Bakura » The new ruler of Hell. Looks almost exactly like Ryou - and Ryou is absolutely terrified of him.
